I've never seen a piece of flamed Pernambuco, and I'm about to say they don't exist...
In fact, that way to maple-ish too me. I think they just used a maple neck guitar for the pics.

A few years ago, I can remember somebody going through every Pernambuco neck blank in the wood library trying to find the one that chimed the best. We could ask them whether they saw any flamed Pernambuco if I could only remember who that was... :flute:

Who could it be?

Whomever it was, I hope he made sure the wings on the headstock were Perny as well. Mahogany wings are tone suckers when glued to Perny headstocks. :tongue:
