Fixing a chip in Nitro finish

I got a chip on the edge of my nitro finish DGT right on the edge where my arm rest. Has anyone used clear nail polish to patch it.

I got a chip on the edge of my nitro finish DGT right on the edge where my arm rest. Has anyone used clear nail polish to patch it.

The beautiful thing about nitro is that a dab of nitro will fill in nicely, because nitro melts nitro. So I'd want to see if I could score some nitro clear coat to make that happen.

With nail polish who knows if you'll still have edges around the repair or not?

Nitro is also easy to blend in with level sanding and buffing without witness lines.

Nitro is also surprisingly accessable through paint stores and some home repair stores.

Nitro finishes are still common in furniture making. They're also easy to work with. You should be able to get some from a woodworking or home repair store.
