Newbie here.. Got my first PRS yesterday - a mint 2014 Antique White S2 Custom 22 - off CL, and I love it! Got a great deal on it, as well.

I always wanted a PRS, to hang around with my Gibsons and Fenders, so I finally pulled the trigger..

The original owner swapped out the stock pickups for Seymour Duncans - the JB/Jazz combo - and they work really well in this guitar..

As I said, I really do love everything about this S2 Custom 22 - fantastic tones with the SD's, the guitar has great feel and playability, the action is just where I like it, love the fret size, trem works great, volume and tone knobs feel and work really smooth, coil tap sounds great - particularly the in-between position, nice light weight to the guitar (I'm guessing a little over 7 lbs, but I haven't weighed it yet), stays in tune - Well, you get the picture - I'm really digging it! :)

Pics or it didn't happen...

Beautiful guitar!!! And welcome!!! I don't think I'd ever replace the PRS pickups, but if I did, it would be Seymour Duncans.

I'm fairly new to this forum too, but I can say this: Some of the nicest and most helpful folks frequent this forum. It really is a positive and intelligent community full of support, ideas and help for one another.

Cheers!

Thanks, guys, for the warm welcome!

Actually, I've never heard the stock pickups in these... !! I need to go hunt one down and plug it in and see what the stocks sound like.. As I mentioned, the previous owner told me he replaced the stock pickups with the SD's. But I do have to say the Duncans sound great in this guitar.

Yep, I'm really liking this S2!

Congrats! I am still somewhat new around here and these people are amazing. The guitar looks great and SD pickups are awesome, I have some in my SE Tim Mahoney that are great.

Yeah, this SD JB bridge and Jazz neck is a great combo.

I also have a Duncan '59 in the neck position in a Tele. Love the sound in that one as well..
