First concert for me post covid

Yes! I just picked up my Primus tickets for Chicago theater the week after Dead & Co. Its going to be a great fall! Primus was supposed to do this last year....

My buddy and I talked about going to that show when it comes here, but the venue just announced they're going to require vaccines or a negative test until Oct. 1, and proof of vaccine after that. Not an issue for me, but last we discussed it, my buddy wasn't going to get it, so if I go, looks like it'll be solo.

A buddy of mine was at that show, too. Took his grown son. Looked like a blast!

Took my 17 year old, who was traveling with me. His first “real” concert. He might never be the same after the freak show that is a Primus concert. :D
I’ve only seen Primus when they opened for Rush, so the freak show was quite different (like, 30k air guitarists, bassists, and drummers playing Rush solos).

Supposed to see KISS for the millionth time in a few weeks. Priest a couple weeks after that, then Lita Ford/Dokken reunion after that. The former is a given, I never miss them, the latter two are a couple my daughter has never seen yet. Given those circumstances, I'm compelled to go, we're all vaxed up, but seems that's not really an advantage any more...and no way I'm wearing a mask all nite....looking more and more like game-time decisions.

Hey, your farm team just took 2 out of 3 against us.
I know! Pleasant surprise! I haven't watched a game since they dumped everyone at the deadline. Otherwise, day games were on while I worked, and I always tuned in on the weekends. Now, I'm all in on the Little League World Series. Love watching that every summer.

Just getting back in from a trip to Hershey PA to see Phish. Man, I had forgotten how much I enjoy going to a show. I have played out a couple of times since covid hit, but this is my first time attending a show. I NEEDED this!!!

In the car in route ....

And at the risk of TMI, I ended up with, appropriately, the "Hershey Squirts" while I was there late in the first set. It was almost a disaster as the line was LONG to get in! But I made it! :D

All in all, the best time I have had in quite a while. If you can, get out there and do it!

EDIT: As a side note, every time I hear Trey Anastasio play, I don't know if it makes me want to go practice more, or QUIT altogether.:D;)

Awesome...I was at the Hershey Phish shows too (as well as Deer Creek and Atlantic City shows). Man, they are sounding great. Hopefully the Vegas Halloween run will go on as planned!!! I agree with you about hearing Trey...but he always inspires me to pick up my guitar...especially my new PRS!!!

I haven't seen Phish since 1994 at the George Mason University Patriot Center.

Flogging Molly and the Violent Femmes in a month in DC.

We'll see if it happens.

They have several guidelines attendees have to adhere to.

It'll be my first live show since '19.

Bad Religion is a month after that show.

First mid-Covid (because we're not post- yet) show for me tonight. Comedy show, but still the first mass event that I've attended since March 2020 (Dweezil Zappa). Next event will likely be the annual Rush cinema event, and a few days later, my first concert since. There is a possibility I may hit a show sooner, but it's all play-by-ear at this point.

My buddy went to see Kiss last night (at a venue I won't go to). He texted me shortly before showtime that it had been cancelled w/no notice. Lots of rumors flying around there, including that Paul Stanley had suffered a heart attack. Turns out he'd actually tested positive for Covid that afternoon.

It was great my girlfriend had a few shows the past couple weeks. Not a major headliner but a good turn out 3-5k plus per show. I forgot how good it feels to be at a live show again! I'm all for living life, mask or Vax I don't care. It beats the waiting game we were calling life before.
