Fiore

Dont have one yet but I am intrigued. I still think the CE is better value, but no knock on the Fiore. It looks fantastic.

I was at my local today, and they had one. I actually walked past it twice, but my pusher thought I came in to see it. So I had to give it a try.

The whammy bar wasn’t in it, so I can’t comment on that. The neck felt pretty decent, somewhere between a pattern and pattern regular at the lower end. It did feel a tad thinner further up the neck, so I wonder if it’s sort of a combination carve. Hard to say for sure.

Sound-wise, it sounded to me like it had plenty of snap in the tone, even on the humbucker. To be honest, I didn’t hear much of a change from the push-pull on the neck/middle tone. There were times I thought I heard a bit of a difference in the richness of the tone, but I’d be hard-pressed to say exactly what it was. It was rather subtle to my ears. Not so much with the bridge tone push/pull - the difference between the HB and single-coil of that pickup was easy to discern. The 2 and 4 positions had something close to that Strat quack. Overall, I thought the sound was very good.

I will say this - the red finish really popped. It’s a very vibrant color in person.

A Fiore arrived yesterday. It played great until i right away noticed snaps, crackles and pops coming from a bad input jack.

There were also strange noise artifacts that i presume were input jack related but i’m not sure. It could have been treble bleed circuitry.

One of the video reviews i watched, Trogly’s, also mentioned the input jack being a potential concern.

Electronics we’re definitely screwed up.

In addition, the tremolo bar and tools were missing.

Theres my NGD story as wonderful as it is.

This one is going back. Bummer.

Soooooo...you contacted the dealer and they are taking care of you?

One of my Silver Sky’s came loaded with static electricity and had the same issues you describe. It took a week to have it stabilize in my home, and I also used a dryer sheet to pull some of it out. It’s been aces ever since. Same problem I also had with a Les Paul.

Thank you for pointing this out. Perhaps that’s the issue.
