Hi all. I want to order some black locking tuner screws as back ups to the ones that come on rhe Fiore. These are the one’s that screw on from the top of the tuning barrel. I have had some close calls with losing one or more of these sneaky creatures during string changes. Also, concern with accidental stripping. The Fiore specs just refer to the tuners as Vintage-like tuners. Their replacement parts/accessories page has some black screw caps labeled Phase 2/3. My hunch is that these will work, but don’t know. Does anyone have knowledge of what type locking screws i can order to match what the Fiore ships with? Thank you!

Have you checked John Mann's shop? I think all of the thumb screws are the same length and thread no matter
whether core, S2, or replacement locking SE tuners!

My PRS' have always come with a couple of extra thumbscrews, though I just loosen 'em up enough to get the strings in and out, and have never removed them; I've never needed the backups.

Still, I think it's a good idea to have backups for stuff you can't fully operate the guitar without!

John Mann certainly knows his hardware, he's a great person to call.

I know mine included a wrench for the trem arm adjustment ... maybe there's a thumbscrew in there somewhere. Thanks for the tip1

Don't remove the thumbscrews when changing strings. Loosen them just enough to let the string move. Don't tighten them more than you can do with a medium pick.
Ya, I don't remove them at string change ... But a couple of times I had one too loose it it just came out. Re tightening, I hear you. I do use my pick (I think it's like 1.14 jazz) but lately I have been tightening pretty hard. I have heard PRS stay in tune great, but I am not sure these locking tuners (and trem) stay in tune as well as my Music Man Axis Sport (also with trem and locking tuners). Just an observation. Love the guitar.
