I finally used the Round Tuit dmathews sent (thanks D) and got over the hump on posting some pics of my guitar. And thanks to Moondog for the directions on how to post pics. Here she is sitting in her case

These PRS guitars have a beautiful shape - kind of if a Strat and a Mosrite hooked up.

Here she is standing up proud and pretty

I really like the grain pattern, especially the bold vertical lines on the left 2/3 of the body running parallel to the strings. Different than the horizontal stripes found on the maple caps, but nice nonetheless.

Meanwhile, on the right 1/3 of the body, all the controls swim in a tight grain pattern of little ripples. I love the way the gold and silver hardware pops.

And finally, minimal wrap. Something that's new to me, but I'll try it.

Bottom line - I freaking love this guitar - the way she looks, the way she plays, the way she sounds. Someone previously used the beautiful woman metaphor when comparing PRS levels. I paraphrase here. A Private Stock is supermodel category. A Core = beautiful actress. S2 or SE? She's the cute girl next door, and I am grateful to have this cute girl in my home. Much like my wife.

Getting this wood pattern on my guitar was pure luck of the draw. My local GC had no S2s of any variety in stock, so I placed an order, and it came in from their distribution warehouse. Kudos to the person at PRS who cut the slab of hog that ended up as my McCarty TL.

What an absolutely lovely guitar! The grain on the mahogany is truly unusual. It'd be tough to find a more beautiful slab of mahogany in the PS Vault.

Super-nice. I bet it sounds the business!
After viewing the guitar on the PRS website many many times before I placed my order, I'd have been happy if mine looked as good as the one on the site. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the inner box. And, yes, she sings with a sweet yet thick voice.

Dude... cute girl???
That's a classic beauty, congrats!
Thank you. I can't take my eyes off her - really. Every time I open up the case and every time I put her back in after playing, I spend way too much time just admiring that grain, the vintage cherry color, and that silver & gold color hardware. Nicest guitar I've ever owned. BTW, thanks for the Round Tuit. :)

Yeah ... I think it was me !

And yes ,you have a Hot Wife !

Ya know, the grain in your Thinline is probably the best argument I have seen ... against my advocated "flamey/stripey top . ;)

Such a top on that bod would just hide all that natural beauty..

What flavor is she ? I went with Tobacco Sunburst ... but I'm really liking yours

And like you say, even this deep into model production which has to be more than a year now ,I have not seen anybody with more than one to choose from on websites or in store ...

OH NEVERMIND .... That the Vintage Cherry. ! (I read more)

I didn't pick that because I thought it would look too much like an SG. But I have never seen an SG with that kind of finish ! :p

OK ... What is your take on the pickups ?
