Finally got to try a SS.....

.....finally found one in stock at a GC outside Fenway Park, salesman said it just came on the floor recently.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents and say yeah it’s all that it is hyped to be. Plays shockingly well, almost effortlessly. Even could have a smidge more push back to it and still be a player.

Didn’t plug it in but we know what they sound like. Duly impressed and I can see myself getting one now, might have jumped on it if I wasn’t in the middle of a Boston walkabout today (dropping my daughter off at Berkeley for a weeklong musical theater program and taking the time to enjoy an absolutely postcard perfect day).

This one was white......thank god for my wallet it wasn’t the candy red one......

Red...yep, I’d sport that too. I was afraid to plug it in when we were at Wild West Guitars in January. They had the old and new colors but I could fight off the GAS. If I heard it, that might be different.

Had the pleasure of trying one through an Archon at a local shop....needless to say, it rocked. Cleans were incredibly pristine and handled gain VERY well.

Took a lot not to walk out with the pair....

It reminds me of all the iterations the Grissom pickups went through. Worth the investment in time and effort. And it’s a great testament to Mayer and Grissom that they were willing to take the time to go through so many versions to get it where they wanted it.

The Silver Sky May be the first PRS model I end up with two of. I would have never bet on that - DGT or Tremonti, sure. But the Sky has really grabbed me. And that blue...

I hate the same fact, but only have one...at the moment...but it was so worth the beating I took at the hands of a vicious ginger...sooo worth it!

I honestly belive that I could live with one of these guitars as my only guitar for the rest of my days and be totally content and satisfied....yeah I said it just "ONE" and "ONLY" one foreeevvvveeerrrrr...seriously it's that friggin good. There I said it.

For the sake of transparency...I said, I "could" not that I "would".
