Well, I finally got a chance to check out the PRS HX/DA amp locally. I had been looking for one to demo for some time with no luck. Anyway, I have to say I was pretty impressed. I plugged up an older DGT (didn't have mine with me) and let it ip and heard some pretty good old-school Marshall tones. Also, cosmetically I liked this one too because it was in plain black tolex without the paisley or figured wood, it was very nice.
I was under the impression that I would really have to get the power tubes cooking from what I read, but I was pretty pleased at what I heard at reasonable volumes too. Overall, I was impressed and thought it was light years ahead of some of the other models I tried.
Good work Paul....we'll see.
