So, I'm sitting at home and get a call about 7pm from a guitarist whom I know a little but not very well.
He wants me to fillin for him tonite, a total sixties band and I said, why not?
Really good band, lots of Stones, Yarbirds, DC5, Beatles, Animals, Kinks, Cream, Hendrix, Paul Revere.
Ton of fun. Haven't enjoyed myself like that for a long time.

Took my Studio, plugged into his rig ... 3 minutes of "setup" ... good to go.
Man, this guitar is a Total Stud. Can do anything you ask of it.
This is why I play PRS.

Cheers!

Awesome...I've done that for a local bass player a time or two...I love my Swampies, and the Studio has got to be similar in good tone variations. Where was the gig?

A drummer I know had his whole entire band bail on him last summer. The worst part was the bass player bailed to do a DJ gig that paid more.

My bass player and I jumped in along with a singer we all knew and in one hour long rehearsal put together a four hour show. It went pretty well.

Oh and the bassplayer took HIS PA gearto do the DJ gig so we used my gear. Nice.

Gig was just local. I didn't want any compensation for it. Just a lot of fun and laughs. Sometimes, when you get a lot of work, like we do, it can become a little routine, nice to mix it up once in a while.
And, I'm thankful that I can play/sing well enough that I can do that ... wasn't perfect, but not bad.

I vaguely remember that PRS had a Swamp Ash Studio, that would likely be perfect for me.
BTW ... the guitar is the Stud, not me.

cheers!
