I am a pretty upbeat dude, but for the past couple of days I have felt antsy and panicked. Internally I feel like I am going 100 mph, but everything around me is moving 20 below the limit. Do you ever feel this way??? What do you do to get back on track???

Been there too once in awhile. Like the world is spining around me really fast..(the reality is that I am the one that is spinning)
Go for a long walk, take deep breathes...unplug in some way. Good Luck jfb

Well said. This is good advice. I am going to try and find some time to relax.

Experience withdrawals........you will be fine soon.

I am having withdrawals. Maybe that's why I wrote...I mean found that coupon for Sergio. You know it's funny...I spend plenty of time here daily, but I would wager I spend even more outside of the forum talking to forum dudes.

Are you having anxiety attacks or just feeling anxious?

Not sure. I am going to try and break for lunch and do something fun to relax.

My motorcycle does wonders for my psyche and state of mind...
It's counter-intuitive, thinking it would stress you out MORE but it has the opposite affect. (the riders here likely understand)

But get some fresh air...A nice trail walk in the woods goes a long way if you have the chance at some point.

I generally work from home, but anytime I am in traffic I think about having a motorcycle...which usually leads me to want a helicopter. I should look into flying lessons.

I know exactly what you mean.

EDIT: I just realized my pic wasn't showing for anyone else.

Like most people, I find it helps to run around screaming at the top of my lungs until I fall, exhausted, into a hornet's nest in a forest.

Hey, has anyone else ever slipped and fallen down the stairs while holding a guitar, and used their body as a shield to prevent the guitar from being damaged?

I know a guy who's wife fell down their front porch stair while holding their newborn. Unfortunately, she seemed to be bereft of mommy instincts and chucked the baby away and saved herself. The baby landed unharmed in the grass, but still...

I have good mommy instincts when it comes to my guitars. Never fell holding a child.

I'm always bummed after Exp. I go back to work and dislike it more than usual. So this year I'm borrowing all of geese's amps to cure my boredom:D

I think I need to start buying guitars every year so I'm excited to come home. Maybe you need "the tree" ;)

I did when my son was about two. It all happened so quickly, but we went down about eight steps, which was more than enough.
I got a nasty rug burn on my elbow, bruising, and lots of aches and pains. He acted as though it was nothing.

That sucks Jesse, try to find the triggers that get you to that point. There are also tricks that you can use to deal with them like deep breathing exercises, you can pick a favorite memory and focus on it. Also, slow down and try doing something to relax like playing guitar. Hope this helps.

Wow! I thought it was just me. I'm supposed to jam with some guys Sat. and I'm just not feeling it. Haven't picked up a guitar for days.

Been there, done that, took the pills.

What ultimately helped was exercise, breathing exercises and eventually playing guitar again, although there was a period where I couldn't touch a guitar without having a physical reaction. I'm back to where it's like PRSh says - it's like Oxy to me instead of something bad.
