Why all of a sudden are we getting feedback through the amp. It happens in the high gain channel with the guitar volume all the way up and the amp gain at about 10 o'clock position. It seems to go away once you start to play. It seems to happen with the guitar not being played but with slight string vibraton. Any suggestions?

Do you mean feedback, or squealing? If you stand close to a high gain amp, you're probably going to get one or the other. If you're not close to the amp, then you shouldn't get squealing.

Face away from the speakers.

Wax potted pickups?
Hollows will feedback like a mofo

Check all electronics? Pickups pots toggle jack cables cabinet wiring speakers pedals

Properly grounded wall plug? Try different plugs in different rooms, try another house

Put a noise gate in front, then try it in the loop

Using a proper speaker cable from amp to cab? Proper instrument and patch cables?

Pedal power supplies?

Every cable and power cord properly plugged all the way in?

The head has screws down either side, pull them and lift the top. Inspect for anything that doesn't look right. It's not rocket surgery. If it ain't right, it probably won't look right. If it don't look right, it ain't right.

Do NOT attempt to service, repair, or adjust anything. Don't even touch it. Transformers can store deadly charges for several days. This is purely a visual inspection.

We shipped the amp back to PRS and they received it on 3/25. Got the amp back today 4/19. The amp is perfect. No noise at all which is a huge change from what we were use to. All tubes were replaced prior to shipping back so the tubes were not the problem. All I can tell you is that we asked what the problem was this was the reply. "We relocated where a relay occurs and added a bigger cap to stiffen the power supply." A night and day difference to the amp. Our thanks to the professional services rendered by the PRS staff. Thank you.

Great news! Now crank that thing up and enjoy it.
