All the best mate!
Here’s to a speedy and complete recovery!
Django Reinhardt’s “Manoir de Mes Rêves”
Not an obvious choice, I suppose, but a gorgeous chord melody. One day, I’ll record a version I like
Hmm...I usually just noodle some random blusey stuff...but I have to play the solo from Mother (Pink Floyd not Danzig) on electric. If I grab an acoustic, I immediately go to Wish You Were here also Pink Floyd. Or at least as close as I can get to what either song is supposed to sound like.
Johnny b goode, is always one of my favs to play, mostly because Back to the Future movie from when I was a kid and the nostalgia it brings playing it.
Slayer, Angel of death is another one, in particular, the one kick ass riff in the middle of the song.
Billy Squire, Lonely is the night
Metallica The Memory Remains. I Never liked this song when it first came out, but it grew on me over the years, and I play it almost every time I pick up the guitar.
Best of luck Steve. Looking forward to your New Shoulder Day thread!
Am having a go at Martin Simpson's arrangement of the traditional song The Cuckoo - sounds simple until you try to get the hammer-ons in the right place.......
Mojo send, speedy recovery
I've been there - when I had surgery to correct nerve damage in my fretting hand. Seemed like forever. Here's to a speedy recovery!
Gimme Shelter, Ramble On, or Train Kept A Rollin
Best of luck, here’s to a speedy recovery ...
Good luck, Steve, take it slow, but don't worry. We have plenty of brewed stuff ready for you if you might need it.
Yes best of luck and also for a speedy recovery
Lately, it’s been this...and Drummer Mike speeding it up 25%.
Godspeed on the recovery, buddy.
Good luck Steve, here’s to a quick and painless recovery.
Ramble on.... one of my fave Zep songs I love playing that has anyone seen the You Tube vid of Bryan Ewald's cover where he plays all the guitar/bass parts?
Sorry bro...missed the shoulder part. Sending positive vibes your way. Get well soon!
Yep. Bryan is a BEAST!!
I do not know why but for some reason when I pick up a new guitar I always start playing Y&T Mean Streak & Journey Stone In Love...
Dang, hope the surgery and recovery goes well Steve!
