It would be weird if I said I didn't enjoy playing my own stuff.

    ie-

    ____
That being said, it's fun to try learning other stuff on the side. I can't really pin that to a singular song, but at times part of a guitar solo, or a chord progression, or even a dank riff is worthy trying to figure out and physically play on the guitar. I think that joy and wonder with learning through such a hands-on fashion is a consistently favorite thing, as far as I'm concerned.

Or it could mean that you're just a raving egomaniac. :p

Or it could mean that it would be so awry and droll if you can't even enjoy the creative process of trying to compose, make something from the ground up, etc. :)
Being burnt out sucks, as does writers block, and any other hindrances of the like. And while there hasn't been a whole lot to stave from that (it inevitably happens to anyone trying in one way or another), having a sense of appreciation for one's worth, the progress so far, the joy experienced in making the aforementioned and whatnot have been ways for others to ease those concerns and/or dissuade one from giving up empty-handed or the wallowing further in dejected feelings of the like; I've noticed this among other friends and peers of the like and I see no reason why it can't be of use or help to others.
Even with the benefit of the doubt on the above attempting to be a joke, it's a lot better to make things into a wholesome teachable moment of sorts instead.

Definite joke. I wish I had enough of a catalog that I remembered to have my go to be my own stuff (other than when I'm actively working on something - then I can't get away from it).

I had to learn Blackbird recently due to a kind of ‘tag’ guitar challenge between myself and a mate over WhatsApp. I’d never heard it before! I like the progression.

The Beatles’ Blackbird is popular here and it is for me too if I pick up an acoustic. Otherwise, two of the many I am currently hooked on is Ten Words (Joe Satriani) and State of Grace (Liquid Tension Experiment).

Beatles version of Helter Skelter, then merging into the Crue version, followed by Ratt-Lay It Down...

Then AC/DC, Queensryche, and Dokken (live versions) the rest of the day... A little Cheap Trick and Styx with a side of Boston for dessert...

I really don't know any covers....Am I weird? I usually noodle with a riff i usually improv on the spot..then off to whatever I need to accomplish in the practice.

You can't go wrong with those, man. I definitely agree with you. Especially about Lay It Down. It's one of my all time favorite - fun - turn it up to 11 - riffs to play !!!

Today when I sat down with 6 strings, the first thing my hands did was knock out a little Up in Smoke by Blackberry Smoke.

And, today is my last day to handle a guitar for about 7 weeks. Tomorrow is knife to the shoulder day. I can't remember the last time I was unable to play for a stretch longer that 10 days. Fark!!!:(
