Favorite PRS TODAY?

Today... the Warthog is my favorite.

That is a very handsome guitar, Hans. Really digging it.

Today I’d have to say it’s this, because that’s what I decided to play. I’m both wishy and washy.

I played it through an amp I don’t use as much as my PRS amps, a Mesa Lone Star 100. And it sounded really, really good. Seriously, can this guitar sound bad at anything? I don’t think so!

And it’s not PS, not nitro, not fancy. Just good sounding, sweet playing PRS Core goodness. I really like this guitar.

It’s one of those guitars that I think, “I’m so glad I got this thing while they were available.”

Today I would say it's between these 2. (just got back from gig where I put them through their paces)

Where did you get the wooden buttons from, for your Gotoh tuners?

Where did you get the wooden buttons from, for your Gotoh tuners?

To be honest I can't remember. they were originally on my modded BC Rich Eagle deluxe that I've had for years. They are the Gotoh SG381 with button EN-07.

To be honest finding replacement buttons for gotoh is a PITA. I've just ordered some cheap Ivoroid ones from vietnam that are supposed to fit (I'll let you know) If I was doing this again from start I'd go with Schaller M6 and then get the buttons from here
https://www.crazyparts.de/hailwood/tunerbuttons/schallerm6/index.php (It's also a good place from fancy knobs).

If your after a fancy truss rod cover I know 2 great guys (just make sure they know its for a SE).
RDCustomguitars =https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/rdcustom...TRK:MEFSXS:MESOI&_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2654
His Reverb Page = https://reverb.com/uk/shop/silkes-gear-garage (A couple of nice SE's on there at the moment)

His guy only shows US Covers but if you ask him he will make the same design in SE size
WEC TRC Inlay = https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/wectrussrodcoverinlay/PRS/_i.html?_storecat=2914143016
His webpage = http://www.wecinlay.com/

I originally used WEC but the latest couple (The Santana one & the Bernie) have come from Silke at RDCustom (Slightly cheaper and ship a little quicker)

Today's favorite is my Bernie Marsden SE, This was my 1st PRS and opened the floodgates for the many SE's (9 in all - 4 still with me) I've owned and gave me GAS to try and get a Core model (I now own 4). Its one of the first of production with the baseball bat like neck:).

It's been modded with
Custom Ebony & MOP Eagle Truss Rod Cover
Bone Nut
Custom “J Birds in Flight” Fretboard Decals
Custom wound Alnico IiII Humbuckers
Meck humbucker wired out of phase
Gotoh SD-90 HAP Machine Heads
ABM Aluminium Wraparound Bridge
Amber Bell Knobs
Switchcraft 3 Way Switch
CTS Pots
Spraque Hyrel .022 PIO Capacitor
