Hi All -

My first post here!

How long would it take the PTC to do a refret, roughly?

I just bought a '94 McCarty, and it may need some TLC factory-style!

Thanks.

Andy

Cool. What about partial refrets - assuming a cowboy owned the guitar!?

There are discussions going in other threads about learning things here. This is an example for me. Before I came to this forum, I had never heard of 'cowboy position' or 'cowboy chords.' But, thanks to this forum, I actually get what Andy is asking here! :)

Darn first position chords! I always ask a seller to show me the first 4 frets, with the G string moved over - so I can see how much wear there is in the first position. In the case of my incoming '94 McCarty, the seller said there was minor wear, but until I see it, I assume the worst. G-D-A-C for 20 years!

One more question - I assume a full $450 re fret means the board is sanded flat and smooth, and the nut is changed along with the setup afterwards? Probably silly questions?
