Matt...THANK YOU !!! Wow...saw them at the Capitol Centre in Largo for the 1984 tour...General Admission...got there god aweful early, and was right up front...and watched probably the most natural talent I'd ever seen!! (Through YEARS of practice, of course.) But he was awesome!!

1984 tour, that's nuts! Can't imagine what it was like to see them at the end of the initial Roth era.
The guy really is in a class all his own and a class act. You could really tell his sincerity when he spoke of playing with his brother and son and wanting to get to jam with his father.

I thought you were still talkin' about DLR when I read this, and I totally agreed with my mis-interpretation.

That must've been an incredible show!!!

I have seen VH probably a dozen times but I first saw them on the 1980 Invasion tour when they were out supporting the Women and Children First album. Hard to describe how powerful they were live. Still my favorite band and the best that I have seen them live.
