No luck finding a strap that matched the Heritage cherry. Some were close and others an acid trip! So I will go with black and if I need to do something creative on the strap then I will go with the leather paints I have. That will allow to me customize the belt the way I want it. Besides my hubby says that I should be using my gift cards.

I talked to my first ever bandmate. We have been really good friends forever. I told him exactly what I am doing and he thinks that 3 hours is too long and that I should back it off to 2 hours with 14 songs. He was saying that a 3 hour show would be too much and to go smaller to test the waters. Good idea or not?

Good move on the strap, make it your own! It will feel better based on that alone!!

As for the show you want to put together, I would suggest that you prepare all material you are motivated to play. After a couple of months kicking through it, pick out your best half of that material. See how long it is and take it from there. I would not try and say "I need to fill x hours of music", I would instead say "I want to play this music, how much time will that fill" ;~)) If it is not enough time for certain situations, work on some of the other 50% and/or find some more to fill in with. Also, no shame in repeating your best in a busking environment ;~)) But do you of course, that is just my two cents ;~))

BTW, I have figured out two AC/DC songs that I could see the "Seize The Groove" lyrics fitting into with minimal modifications. I am going to try and mock one up for you later today and I will PM it to you ;~))

I have a list of my first set of songs. Practice until perfected and then I will go from there.

And ppl are suggesting I wear the Angus suit but I am not doing that. I will play in whatever is comfy for that given day according to the weather. I do have the light up devil horns. They may be an option.

So much to do and tons of practice.

Couldn't tell for sure, but the tuners in the picture look like Schaller or Rotomatics. They are heavy. I'd try swapping them for Grover 135 tuners. They are much lighter, stay in tune well and look more like old Klusons. I replaced the Rotomatics on my ES-335 guitars with them and they're great, to me.

Neck dive solution:
Take your chosen strap and attach small weights near where it attaches to the guitar at the bottom end. You can find small 4oz weights on Amazon, the size of a small postage stamp, with peel and stick adhesive on the back. I tried putting some in the control cavity, but a sewn, small flat pouch at the end of the strap works MUCH better. 3/4 lb is all you need and can be sewn invisibly in the strap. THIS WORKS!! Yes it adds minimal overall weight, but you can perfectly balance any guitar with this method.

Grover 135 tuners are about $50. I don't know how much it would cost to change them as I do it myself.

My issue with suede straps is, the guitar still wants to dive and pulls my shirt all out of shape. It bugs me, but obviously doesn't bug everyone.

Btw...if you don't care...you can just stick them on the back, underside of the guitar. They will easily peel off if you ever want.

Another idea is hanging something decorative off the pin, that hides, but incorporates the weights. The guy in Def Lepard always hangs those scarfs, easily able to tuck a couple weights in there.

I would think offending the overly sensitive would be part of the AC/DC show.

It’s a dirty deed, but at the price of a strap, it’s done dirt cheap.

Thx MDW! I am going crazy with details. I am going to try and get some support from our local grocers. I am going to ask them to donate water. I will advertise for them. They are small mom and pop convenience store that we have been frequenting for at least 20 years. It can never hurt to ask. I am going to weave my way through the process.

I just wanted to apologize to anyone who may being getting offended by my over top enthusiasm. I have something that is so near and dear to my own personal narrative. Last night I was going through all my ACDC notes and digging through my “music cupboard” I found a two inch strap with strap locks. Brand new! It’s really thick canvas. It may work. I will see tonight when I practice and if not it’s the black leather strap with Betty Boop on it
