I am doing this affair by myself. I know if word gets out to my musician friends they will want to be part of it. I am being selfish. This is my baby and I want to do this by myself. Gigging just reminds me of bs drama. I just have no desire to play with anyone right now. It just dredges up trying times within some the past bands I have been in.

I have this strap on and the nose dive is just ticking me right to h*ll I have play sitting down now. That was not a part of the plan. Just trying to practice my stage presence when playing. They go hand in hand. I really want to put on the best show that I can!!

It's a blast, and so much freer. Not ragging on "bands", just saying sometimes you need more freedom than a "marriage of 5" can provide.

I did go to Long and Mcquade to check out their straps. There was a beautiful one in carved leather $100 but it had a Western motif on and there was an ACDC one. My guitar and music speak for themselves. If you don’t know who I am playing well that sucks for you. I am going to another store tomorrow. I find that when I was dancing and playing last night did a spin no matter what direction my guitar took a dive to the left hand side. A new wide strap is the answer.

You Can Always Tie Something From The Back Of Your Strap To Your Pants Or Whatever You Choose To Wear And That Will Keep Your Guitar In Place A Bit Better. If You Do Get Much Neck Dive You Will Get A Wedgie Though...

Your kind words are so full of fun and moxy! You’re damned right!! I am going to rule my world. I think this is like a junior swan song. I have to do this before I can’t. Arthritis, broke my left baby finger last year. I am obsessive about playing. I would rather play then go out to dinner with my hubby.

There’s nothing else that touches my soul more deeply then music. I am sure many of you can relate!

It really can. The travel time alone was just too much. The violence of the subway. The bs feelings. Some bandmates never had my back because I was female. There was one guy that made me feel ashamed sometimes. He was superior in his skills but would criticize mine. The 2 diva singers. I will be free to do as exactly as I see fit. I get to run my own show and not put up with BS.

Btw it’s weird. The neck dive ticked me last night but my G string never went out of tune.


Can someone anyone suggest a fairly decent wireless system. I think I am going to buy one.

Sorry I talk too much.

I am thinking if naming this venture as Lolapalooza featuring the music of ACDC. I can advertise free with this particular event in our local newspaper because I am resident.

I want the show to be divided up into 3, 1 hour segments. 21 songs 7 songs per set list. There’s going to be some dead air in there but it will give me a chance to relax for a few and get a drink.
That gives me a wide variety of choice. Then I can make a dedicated set list.

I will practice these until they’re set in stone and then move on to the next set. I will improvise wherever it seems appropriate as not to take away from the song’

I know too that with this dedicated amount of practice my skills will improve substantially!

I found a great place to practice playing and stage presence. Just have to move a few things!

I think someone suggested this or similar, but if you can, get a suede strap. They won't slide across your shoulder like smooth leather can. Suede, 3" strap should fix your neck dive. I have a Suede Taylor strap and it WILL NOT slide on your clothes, even if you want it to. You literally have to pull it off your shirt to adjust your guitar because if you just pull on the strap it just pulls your shirt up with it.

I am going to do some homework and do some phoning around to leather craftsman. This guitar deserves this for it’s almost 30th birthday.

Vintage heritage cherry. One of my hubby’s friends used to do leather work. Might be able to help us out. He, yes it’s a he(Big Red) is looking really good for his age.

It’s a really nice system but honestly I don’t want to spend more the $100. I am also have another guitar and amp I want.

I don’t want crap but I want something fairly decent that will last and be durable!
