Etsy bought Reverb...

Okay, I was thinkin...this would be a perfect time for someome to take the torch and continue what Reverb started...They might take our website, but they will never take our GUITAR PORN!!!! NOW WHO'S WITH ME???!!! BECAUSE I HAVE NO MONEY!!!!... But I'm full of ideas...and other stuff..

I hope nothing changes but my experience in company acquisitions is the thinks they can do it better and ends up either running it in the ground or closing it down. Fingers crossed.

I doubt if they will close it down. They want to be the master of that person to person space. I think the most the would do is fold it all into their current model.

I've had some pretty decent experiences on Etsy, I got those killer guitar hangers there. Just like any marketplace, you have to be aware of what you are getting. Caveat Emptor.

Although, I'm not sure Etsy ever offers any buyer's protection, so if that starts happening to Reverb, I would expect to see a lot of off-site conversions.

Now I can finally sell my crochet guitar straps and guitars all in one place.
Reverb has been hosting craftspersons since its inception. For instance there's a couple of old ladies in Florida who handmake straps one at a time
like mine https://reverb.com/item/9682105-bla...rap-artisan-handmade-soft-checkerboard-design
There's a lot of sellers of handmade amps, guitars, and pedalboards, etcetera...
Thanks to Reverb I no longer mess with ebay. Great place to shop and compare prices.

Hmm, does this mean we’ll see more quilts? :D
The only quilts I could find there were like these

I’ve erased it, but as I recall the email they sent me indicated Reverb would remain autonomous. I’m not expecting changes, but we shall see. I have several listings there.
