Very concise presentation, I knew all those techniques a while ago, but had to weed through a very long article about the subject to get that information. Nice job.

Maybe a couple more tips:

Play with good technique and in time (especially when double tracking). You almost have to experience to believe how much a difference that makes when it comes to MIXING (and thus, the final product).

And then, of course, the arrangement - how much to play, what and when etc etc... Same deal
