Well I never thought I would be the guy who got a guitar as a present from his wife as she more or less deals with my obsession instead of supporting it. To my suprise, she told me last week to find me a guitar and she would make it my early Christmas present. Now, I'm not rich so no $1,000+ guitars but I headed to Guitar Center and came home with this nice Tremonti Custom SE. I absolutely love it so far, and it makes it even better that she wanted me to get it. Only mod so far is the headstock overlay. Its all vinyl and can be removed with no permanent change to the guitar. Probably gonna get me some pickups covers for the time being and possibly upgrade the pickups in the future. Well here is some pics, let me know what you guys think!

And one with the family...

I just have no idea which one to get out of the SE range. TOO many good options, lol.

Congrats, looks great!
There's SE's with the full Paul Reed Smith logo on the headstock? I have a lot to learn :o
No, it's a vinyl overlay the OP put on. I think it looks pretty cool. I wish PRS actually had that look on the SE headstocks...just put a small SE below. I realize they need to do something the differentiate them though.

Thanks again for the kind words fellas. I've got some upgrades ordered and will be installed in the near future by yours truly. I will make sure I update when its all said and done.

That's a beautiful guitar! I have a few SE's that I've sanded down the headstock and replaced with the private stock eagle, but I'm interested in that vinyl overlay. Did you make that yourself?

Thanks man. Yeah I made it myself, I do sign work on the side and used some matte black vinyl and plotted the headstock shape in illustrator and cut it out. Then plotted out the signature and used some gold chrome I had to cut the signature. I'm really happy with it, came out much better than I expected. Here is a few more pics...

damn that's sweet...and I like the headstock overlay - a lot, really adds a nice touch of class to the plain SE look.

not a big fan of the overlay, but it is very nicely done!

i've got a Tremonti SE Custom coming in within a couple of days. really looking forward to it. i hate the days waiting for the UPS dudes!

Excellent job on the overlay! Wish I could get my hands on one or two of those for my zach Myers & custom 24...I'd pay good money ;)

Same... op make some for us?

While I'm relatively confident that PRS isn't going to have much heartburn over the OP making his one version of Paul's trademarked and copyrighted signature decal for his own actual PRS guitar, making them for other people and distributing them is likely to draw some negative attention.

Thanks again for all the kind comments! Yeah as stated I believe there would be some resistance to making and selling these.
