I understand point #2, but I think it’s interesting to note that #3 best selling album of all time is Hotel California. That’s pretty amazing to have both #1 and #3 (a “real album”).

I have to agree with almost everything you said there, pretty dead on.
The only one I can question is #1.
It's a way more diverse collection that's for sure, and one or two of the tunes on there I consider head & shoulders above the Eagles hits, but for me there are a couple real stinkers in there too. PYT is pretty annoying at this point, and The Girl is Mine is downright cringeworthy for me, even with Paul.

It's all a taste thing, we all have our different, U know.
I'm not really into the Eagles but it just goes to show that a collection of laid back, easy going Country Pop Rock from the 70's is pretty easy to listen to, evidently.

*Footnote- The EVH solo is a legit point .......... but ya gotta admit it's not one of his better ones, didn't even really fit the song.
