Dragon I pickups

Hey all,

Attempting to procure a set of Dragon I's to throw into one of my 22's. I have only heard good things but have never gotten to actually HEAR them live.

What do the good people of this forum have to say about them?

Love them. I don't know if it is the all hog, or the maple neck, or the Dragon 1's, but my CE22 Standard is the best sounding PRS I have and I have some terrific PRSi. The Dragon 1 bridge is hot but for the untrained way I play, it is articulate and clear. Complimented perfectly with the neck pup.

I typically describe Dragons as fat and juicy. I love 'em.

If you like Chugga, they're great. If you like vintage tones, not so great. But definitely worth experimenting with!

I had some on early PRSes I owned, and needed to change them out for a more vintage type of pickup. But I'm very old school.

Dragon 1s rock. They are quite hot but backing down vol does wonderful things. The rotaty offers some really great tones as well.
