but who is the longest PRS devotee here? I got you all beat with a date of Feb '82(the day that PRS was featured in "Guitar Player").

Well this is going to be a short thread if no one is earlier than 82 (and it would be hard to be earlier). I'm still a NOOB, I got my first in 2006. It would be interesting for you to make this into a poll and see which decade most of us are in.

There's always second place....

Are we talkin' wanting one, or actually getting' one? I got mine in 93... and still have it.

I've been a fan since probably around 89 when I first picked up a guitar. Became aneven bigger fan in the 90s, but didn't get my "first" until just this last year. I hope to get my first American model within the next few months, but there's still a few SE's I want too, lol.

Saw my 1st in '93ish at Ward Brodt and it was love at first sight with the curly maple tops and unique bird inlays. Finally got my first in '96 after some creative financing.

Well, BassHappy had instruments number 7 and 11 built for him by Paul in '76-'77.

Been a fan of how they looked since the early 90s (Alex Lifeson's CE24 from the Roll The Bones/Counterparts era brought them to my attention) - but didn't discover a model I loved until the Mira and Starla came out - a 2008 Starla was my first (bought a few years ago).

Wanting? 85 or 86 after seeing something in a magazine.

Almost having? 87 - a story too long for this thread.

Having? 2004.

And let us not forget about our valued member John Mann.

Yeah... I'm probably ONE of the oldest... I have been a PRS fan since 1979. There are others out there thou... like Howard ... and then there's Bill Holter of Vintage Sound. I believe they may guitars older then mine ;-)

I bow to you, Sir.

I have always been a fan of Prs. I just got my first a few weeks ago on a killer trade. A 2005 indigo blue CE24. I was so impressed by it I traded another guitar for a SE custom 24 2013 model. The CE24 is in mint condition and since they are no longer made its going to be a safe queen. The SE Custom 24 is a real world guitar that you can play and not stress if it gets a scratch. I'm probably the youngest as far as this thread is going.
