Dog Hair finish?

Has PRS ever done a dog hair finish like that other Austin builder? Just curious. I like that finish on electrics & acoustics.

I'm sure the PTC can pull off the classic black/white and knowing them they probably could do
variations.
It's a cool finish technique, looks great in other colors too.

I've wanted to do a SC with this finish on the back with frostbite glow top. The new SC594 with this is kinda my dream SC PS. I'd see if they could make the white part of the dog hair more antique white, close to the light part of the frostbite.

By the looks of the s/n on the back of the headstock, I'd say it's a core model.

The overall perceived darkness or lightness of the color can vary quite a bit from piece to piece due to variations in wood grain. I like the darker ones more personally.

Get one of those satin finished S2s and make it Dog Hair. All you need is some white grain filler and some clear coat, wham bam thank ya ma'am.

I'm sorry to mention Kauer again, but they do a version with blue tinted grain filler that makes me weak in the knees. They call it Starry Night. Photo for illustrative purposes only.

I actually contacted PTC a couple weeks ago to ask if they could do exactly that with my S2 Satin Singlecut.....
