Does this look like a PRS Wiring Job to you?

It doesn't to me!
I was having issues with my CE 22 (new to me, 2006) because when I turned the volume down, the treble became HIGHER. It sounded more pleasant with the volume down, and more dark with the volume up. I looked under the hood and saw the wiring job.

Doesn't look stock, does it? I took this picture after I clipped the treble bleed cap (which made no noticeable difference to me).

So its entirely possible that the Dragon II pickups are dark sounding to my ears and it is just less pronounced with the volume down. But I have my questions about this wiring as it does not look like what I'm used to from PRS. I'm thinking whoever I bought it from had some other pickups/wiring in there and tried to restore it to stock.

What do y'all think? Should I try the Dragon IIs with a fresh wiring harness? Maybe a 1M volume pot? Should I check to see if the pickups are, in fact, Dragon IIs?

Yeah, it's only 8 screws, check to see if they're Dragon 2s. While you're in there, write down the MODCAT in the pickup cavity and run it against the MODCAT decoder. It's entirely possible that a previous owner converted it from a rotary to McCarty switching. The MODCAT will tell you if that's the case.
