Does the Brent Mason guitar have noise cancelling in positions 2 and 4?

Someone asked this question on another forum.
I just ordered a BM last night, so I am also interested to know the answer to this question, please.
Thank you. :)

Can't speak for a BM, indeed.
But as an other guitar has a similar layout, though my guitar isn't unmodded, switching from Bass to 2 or from Treble to 4 both in singlecoil mode there is hum cancelling. Therefore I guess it's the same with a BM.

I have another guitar with a similar pickup set up, but on that guitar, I have noise.
Someone on another forum posted that he is having noise from his BM. He got it used, so I don't know if the assembly has been tampered with.

I'd ask the dealer you're ordering from to find out from PRS, or just email Customer Service.

I've yet to find an electric guitar that doesn't have some noise, even if it's not much.

Thank you Les.

I had already done that but so far, I have received no response, which is why I asked here. I thought maybe, someone who already has a BM, might be able to answer this question :)

I just received word from Customer Service here, again. Position 2 and 4 are noise-cancelling, but as the 305 middle pickup is a true single coil, it by itself, is not noise-cancelling.

I just received a notice that a natural BM, weighing 7 pounds even, with a rosewood board is headed my way. I should receive it next week sometime.

I hope I like it.

Has anyone here ever had their hands on a BM? If so, would you tell me what it's like, please?

Also, I never played a Pattern neck. How do these compare to say a 50's type Les Paul neck in thickness.
I don't like a clubby neck.

Thank you. :)

Looks killer! Congrats!

I may have missed (or just forgot). Did you bond with the other you ordered? I remember 1 S2 going back, but I thought something else was coming to replace it?

I have one :) the neck profile is full, but WAY better than the 50s type LP neck, in my opinion - due to the rounded shoulders, especially. It's a wonderful neck, but perhaps not the greatest for shredding. It's a killer axe. Very versatile AND sounds good (those two don't always go hand in hand, do they?). Only thing it's not too well suited for (in my opinion at least) is hi-gain rock and beyond.

I sent back a Vela as it was uncomfortable to me, and after playing an S2 Satin 24 in a local GC, I decided to cancel that order as well.

Thank you Michael. I am definitely not the shred-type. :)
As long as it does not present any problems for me getting around on it, I'll probably keep it.
