Does PRS use obeche anymore on any builds?

Obeche looked like it was going to be the future wood choice for PRS back in 09' but then it suddenly went away it seems like.

Underrated wood, cheap too I'd imagine. I'd love to see them use it on the SE line.

I don’t know how much of it they ever had.
I have two guitars with obeche backs.
It makes for a very light guitar and I didn’t find it sounded significantly different than a mahogany back.
It doesn’t have much figure, but takes a stain really well.

It does stink.

Make it a semi hollow bass and change the shape of the cutout to a swordfish and you'll sell a ton of them.

Not quite. It stinks even after it makes it to the vault.
Once it is finished, you can’t smell it.
