Does anyone know this truss rod?

I have seen a PRS S2 custom a dealer offers online.
The dealer says that the guitar is in a really good state.
Whats confusing me is, that the truss rod certainly got switched out.
Has anyone seen that trussrod before?
Why should someone switch the custom truss rod to that one is the thing im questioning.

This is fairly common. I did this on my Custom 24 when if first got it. Someone custom made it for me in satin ebony.

There’s some lore connecting PRS Guitars and dragons. Such as a series of guitars with dragons inlaid in them.
Or the owner just liked it.

It’s a truss rod cover, not the truss rod. Changing it is a simple, non-permanent way to personalize a guitar. No big deal at all.
