Does a core models warranty cover the case?

What up Guitar Ninjas,

I bought a core PRS Studio back in December 2024.

Already the strap that keeps the compartment door closed has almost snapped off because the way the case was made, the edge of the compartment door was cut too close to the inside edge of the compartment causing it to rub too much on the strap and now it's almost about to come off after only 4 months of ownership.

I bought the guitar from Long and McQuade in Canada, and it does have a performance warranty that supposedly covers the case as well.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and knows if this will be covered by the warranty? I guess this was the one area where PRS build quality failed.

PRS doesn't make their own cases - I don't know if they ever did.

They are purchased from a supplier, made to their spec, which has evolved over the years. Sometimes stuff happens.

At least, AFAIK.

I'm pretty sure PRS will just send you a replacement case, but contact L&M first to see if they will handle the paperwork for you.

As @DISTORT6 pointed out, your first contact must be your dealer, because you paid him - and he paid PRS.
It need to be checked, whether it's a not warranty covered daily wear or a faulty material/built issue (likely warranty). Additionally there could be goodwill of the dealer to your benefit.
