DiMarzio Cliplock Strap - Which Screws Do You Use In Your PRS?

Hey all,

I just got my first PRS. Custom 22 Wood Library. I have used dimarzio cliplock straps on all my guitars. Anyone that uses these knows that it comes with two sets of screws - silver ones (smaller) and black ones (larger).

The issue I am having is deciding which set of screws to use. The silver ones are almost exactly the same outer diameter as the original PRS screws, but they are shorter. The black ones are definitely larger in diameter.

For now I used the silver ones. I was afraid to use the black ones and risk cracking the wood. But now I am worried that eventually these silver ones will slip out and I will drop my beautiful guitar.

Does anyone here use dimarzio cliplock straps on their PRS? If so, which set of screws did you choose to use? Thanks!

I used the large black screws with my Dimarzio clip-locks.

The only thing is if you ever want to stop using them (which I did and then installed regular strap locks).
I went and found the same dimension screw as the large Dimarzio black screws, and then filed the head down until they fit through the new strap locks.
Took about 2 minutes.
