I have this featuere built into my Whammy pedal I bought a few years back, but here is the compact one.
Pretty good demo of it.
On my Whammy pedal though, I can also up tune and also make a six string sound like a twelve string.

My daughter and I both have the drop pedal. Pretty good actually

I apologize as I'm still newish and not totally up to speed.

You use this pedal to simulate any drop tunings that you program into the device, in lieu of re-tuning your guitar? Sounds too good to be true! Any other coloration that you notice from the pedal?

Thanks for the help!

I've got this one too and I really like the smaller form factor vs. the whammy. I do miss the up-tune ability the Whammy 5 has, mainly for those trippy Jack White kind of solos or a 12 string effect. I wish they'd make a version that would just do the up-tuning in a similar size.

Wow, I could see this replacing both my Boss OC-3 and also, just maybe, my baritone guitar.

I wouldn't go as far as replacing your baritone, but that's just my opinion though.

The further down you go, the more "tone suck" you get. I've found that this Digitech Drop does really well for the first 4 semitones, after that I use my SE MM baritone and use the Digitech to go down even lower while still maintaining better tone.

Alright. I bought one of these based on what I read in this thread plus other reviews I searched.

First, the bad news: The first unit I received was a lemon. Unit turned on and all the appropriate lights lit, but the effect did not function.

The good news: The replacement functions perfectly!

This little thing is a blast! Imagine! Drop tuning with simply the turn of a dial and click of a pedal! I've only used it for 1 evening so far, but man did I have fun. What amazing sounds!!

And no spaghetti strings! I think I'll keep it.

Kevin, very cool, glad you like it.
Another thing I want to try with my bigger unit that has it built in is to play along with Nirvana's "The Man Who Sold The World" since it is tuned down a half step.
It will keep me from having to manually down tune my guitars.

In fact a lot of songs I have "record copied" are tuned down, and this can be a valuable tool too learn how to play the song better playing along too it in their key.
