Difficult to find this "ground" issue....

Hello all,
I'm hoping someone can help or add a fresh approach to this problem. Here's my problem; I have a CE24 with a Tremonti in the bridge and a Vintage Bass in the neck with a five way rotary. When using clean tones, there's no discernable noise. But when switching to high gain, I get an enormous amount of noise when I stop playing. I have replaced the wiring harness with a new one, preassembled from PRS. I have added brass screws, trem claw, painted springs, and an oversize brass block on the Floyd Trem, along with a new output jack. My soldering skills are adequate and my iron is an adjustable temp model. I have had issues with the solder and tried different iron contents. The cavity is shielded. And I use a digital wireless system. All my others are equipped just like this one and I do not have this issue with any of those. It's just so weird that all my visible grounds are showing continuity.
Anyway, is it possible the humbuckers are not "bucking the hum" in high gain applications?

When you stop playing?
Hands off bridge and strings?
Check continuity from the electronics to string and/or bridge?
Coated springs can cause issues, sometimes.
 
Tremonti + VB is an oddball pickup combination -- I don't recall that any stock model offers that. PRS wiring conventions are screwy as it is and chances are pretty good that whoever swapped that Tremonti in there may not have gotten all the wires right for full humbucking.

I have this same set up in 2 other guitars with no issues.
 
If the noise gets worse when you touch the strings your polarity may be wrong . Check the wiring at your output jack and make sure it is not reversed
Thanks! I referred to the diagram included with the new output jack and it was wrong! I emailed the company so they could correct that and hopefully keep others from having to troubleshoot this issue. I fired up the soldering iron and in 10 seconds all was right with the world!
