Difference between Gen 1, 2 and 3 trems?

Hi guys, I'm new here!

I never got a clear picture of what the differences were between the trem models; Gen I, II, and III?

I have a 2003 Custom 24 coming my way this week. I'm wondering what trem it might have, since it's a 2003?

Also, does anyone know the milestones/years, when the new generations of trems were introduced? It would be cool to have a timeline!

John Mann would most likely know best
BUT
Gen 1 - Should be the original Mann Made Trem solid one piece construction

Gen 2 - two piece ( block bolts onto the plate )

Gen 3 - this is ether the one with locking saddles and or like the one I have which has slots the trem saddle screw ride in.

Pretty sure a 2003 would be a Gen 2
