Difference between custom 24 and SE custom 24 Pups?

Hi guys,

I have a proper custom 24 (2012) and a Spalted Maple custom 24 SE (2014 ish)

The thing is my so called 'spare' PRS SE sounds way better to my ears...and I want to understand why! I also want to try and get my USA 24 sounding a similar way

To my ears the SE has
- More definition/ clarity between the notes and strings
- Nicer Mids/ better bite
- Less Muddy (possibly just a slightly thinner sound generally but in a good way!)
- A much better coil split - much closer to rippin' tele tones

Any recommendations on Pickups to try and get the same sound out of my main PRS?!

I guess, worst case is that I could just swap the pickups in each guitar but I would rather they both sound awesome!

Any help or info about these pickups would really be appreciated!

Try adjusting the height before you replace. PRS pickups are extremely sensitive to height changes, more than any other pickups I ever used. Also remember the amp settings will be different for every guitar you play.
