Did the S2 Mira use to come with uncovered round 57/08s?

Trying to verify before a purchase..seemed to remember seeing a spec sheet saying it does but all I can find all over the net mow are S2 Mira treble and bass..thanks for the help guys!

No S2 comes standard with 57/08s. All the S2 pups are built to PRS spec, but not wound in-house.

The original core Mira had Mira pups wound in-house. When they moved the Mira to the S2 line, I believe this ended.

I had one of the original Miras, and Ruger is absolutely correct. The standard models came with their own US pickups, and they did not come with 57/08s.

However, something in the deep recesses of my brain tells me that there may have been a limited run with different pickups with covers. Whether these were 57/08s or not I have no idea.

The other thing I want to say is...what a great guitar! I really regret letting go of my Mira.

There was a run of 57/08 squabbin equipped S2 Custom 24s for Guitar Center that were a couple hundred $$ more than the regular ones.

But no, S2 Miras have always has S2 Mira pickups. And, if you found round bobbin 57/08s they were probably covered from the factory and had the covers removed at some point.
