Has anyone ever replaced the 11 gauge strings on a DGT with 9s? Does the nut have to be replaced?
Thanks!

No you won't need to change the nut. You will need to tweak the setup. I would just put them on and see what you think.

OP I put 9.5s on all my PRS with good results, the 9s might be too slinky but give it a shot...

I use 9s on all my PRS with great results, as long as they are coated, specially Elixirs and Mangans. Coateds are just a ted stiffers. I understand scale length plays a big role on tension, but I've been using 9s on all PRS for a long long time and they always felt "right" to me, no matter if it's 25, 24.5, 24.6 or 25.25; despite the fact I use 10s on most of my other electrics, either Strats, LPs, Teles and others.

Dayam! I ordered my ps and sent the company the strings I have to use...7-.032 gauge...

I lost the radial nerves in my left forearm, where you get the strength to bend strings.

I wouldn't worry about using 9's. :)
