Nice! So cool to see the living breathing genesis of these guitars. Can’t do that with some guitars!
Great stories...and I swear his Tone is the Standard!!, IMHO
What a great upload, thanks DM!
"....a tight bottom and a creamy top end" Finally a tone I can get on board with!
I own a few PRS but I finally played a DGT a month ago and can’t stop thinking about it. I wish I could’ve gotten it, near perfect guitar.
Great video, DG is the man.
I wonder if he knows Rob Harris gets some really funky tones out of his DGT! I hope so.
That last Jamiroquai album was all DGT, wasn’t it?
I went through a bunch of McCartys; two of which I should‘ve kept because they were semi rare. At a friend’s house, I plugged into a Bogner Shiva with his new DGT (they had just been introduced.) It was game over. Bought one a few weeks later. No sell guitar.
Thanks for the video!
Could you folks describe the neck pattern of the DGT? Am genuinely curious, since my hands are too small for a Santana neck pattern, but might be interested in a DGT...
I believe so!
He's rockin a silver sky now, and never mind jamiroqaui, he did lego batman from a hotel room in the states.....great interview below
There’s a “brother” interview about the DG30 amp. I’ll post it in the amp section.
It’s more or less the pattern regular. Not as wide or fat as the pattern, Kind of just right. Works on this guitar , also big frets and easy bends with 11’s.
DGT talks about the neck shape at length here: The forum won't let me embed to a time, so skip to 1:24 manually:
I can’t understand how, in a good way, he’s playing with the bridge pickup and sound so thick
Did anyone notice that it's a new DGT with.....original knobs? I haven't watched the entire video, if he mentions the knob change.
Nut width is a little narrower too, I believe. 1/32 at the nut and 1/16 at the body.
I need knob chatter.
