I replaced my pu's a while back on this guitar. Everything works fine except when I go to split coils. In that mode, the tone control has very little effect on the tone. Works normally in non-split mode. I can't recall if I noticed this before switching the pu's. Does anyone still have a stock DGT that can test that?

My Wood Library DGT, whether split or not, the tone works fine and has decent range. It's dead stock.

Just checked my stock SE DGT and a modified Se custom 22 semi hollow. The tone control does seem to be less effective when split in all positions especially in the middle position.
I liked the split tones so much I added the same value resistors to an SE CU 22 semi hollow I purchased a few months later. Having just checked both, the semi has a much better tone sweep when split, especially the bridge pickup. The difference between both bridge pickups is substantial.
I am sure someone with more knowledge will be able to explain but it is possibly the difference in pickup design or I`m wondering if having two volume controls on the DGT makes some difference? I also believe the DGT also has a treble bleed which the semi doesn`t and maybe this is significant?

Edited for better clarity (I hope).
