I love my DGT but it doesn't sound as good as my Strats and Teles with my old Twin Reverb. It sounds great into my AC30tbx. Has anyone had a similar experience with the DGT?

If your twin is set for Strats and Teles you would need to adjust your setting abit ( IMHO ) to work best with the DGT the DGT is hitting the input section harder so you are likely getting distortion you don't like or want, I have been fooling around with a Vibrolux these last few days and it took me some knob turning to love the sound with a humbucker guitar.
I ended up looping the two input together and it really worked for me. IMG_6326 by

I ran humbucker guitars into a silverface twin for years, but that had separate pre and master volumes, so I would just turn down the pre and up the master to compensate, and it sounded great to my ears. You may need to attenuate the input signal using a compressor or EQ pedal (or just the volume knob on the guitar) if you can't get your DGT to hit softly enough to avoid unwanted distortion. I know my old twin could get a little "farty" in the lows if I hit the front end too hard.

My Twin is healthy and sounds killer, no farty sounds. I just prefer the DGT with my AC30. It can go from clean to scream with the volume knob. I get what DG was going for with the voicing of the pickups. If I crank my twin the DGT sounds awesome but that ain't happening on a gig. Anyways I love the guitar and it shines through my Vox, pure magic.
