DGT coil split - 2008 vs today?

Hi there - I have a 2008 DGT which I love.
I was told recently that over the years the coil split on DGTs was changed and now sounds ‘the same’ but has less of a volume drop compared to the humbucking sound.

Is this something that can be modded, or is it internal to the pickup?

It's a mod that can be done to any guitar.

Look at the wire diagrams on prs website for the differences.

I’ve already tried to get a wiring diagram from the PRS site - you have to be logged in and the signup link doesn’t work for me (on 2 different browsers) :-/
