DG30 and 2 guitars (clip)

DG30 with a PS loaded with 57/08's and a DGT.

I ran the PS through a clean boost (Creation Mark4:23) and an OCD. Hopefully it should be obvious from the tone when each or both were kicked in.

The DGT was straight into the amp.

Oh, and I used an Unleash (attenuator) in this clip with the master dimed. I don't need one for the gigs that I typically do, but I find that I prefer an attenuator over running the master below half (and I did this quickly at home and wanted to keep the level down...) At the end of the first portion of the clip I turn the guitar all the way down so that you can hear the strings to give a sense of how loud (or quiet) it was.

Thanks for the demo. I like what I hear. Thursday night's amp demo with Grissom was mind blowing. I was so impressed with the DG30 I put it on my "one day" list.

I really love the thing. The only recommendation I'd make to improve it would be to make the boost toggle on the back footswitchable. It's doing something different (more) than just boosting the input so far as I can tell and it'd be nice to kick that in when soloing. I leave it on all the time as I like it better for the most part, but there are tones you can't get with the boost on that are really nice, and it'd be convenient for gigging to just be able to kick the switch.

Great demo!

I would like to make a couple of observations:

1. That private stock guitar really has it going on! I absolutely loved the tone. The DGT ain't too shabby, either. But that PS has a vintage tone that I really dig.

2. In the immortal words of Agent J, "I need me one of these" DG 30s in my studio. Maybe in the Spring if a good project comes in. I can see that it'd be great for certain things to complement HX/DA tones. Great sounding amp. Then again, I want to hear the 50 watt version just because...

Sweet! Has a nice crunch with a distinct flavor. Watched a video of DG demoing the 30 at experience and I was pretty floored. Great tone for Life in the Fast Lane! Also, I never complain about some Uncle Ted riffs. Nicely done.

That guitar really is surprising. It packs 10 pounds worth of Les Paul punch into a 5 pound body, plays perfect and has looks that kill. It's one of Brent's Obeche lightweight creations.

Ha! I actually hesitate to post these sorts of clips here since the playing is...well, let's face it... pedestrian. And I'd hate to have people form a bad impression of something just because of the playing. I guess it does give an indication of what a mere mortal can do with it in a weekend warrior gig configuration though. I like to do these because it's a great way for me to learn the gear. Thanks for the compliment though!

Well, you sure made a believer out of me! It's very resonant in the way that my 1965 SG Special is resonant. The two guitars don't sound alike of course, but on the other hand you can hear when a guitar has a certain woody, resonant emphasis that IMHO separates it from the pack and destines it for greatness.

Yours has it. I'm very impressed.
