Hi all, I'm looking for a place to get a sort of 20-year service done on my CU24. Frets need work, bridge needs some work and the tuners are worn. I'm looking for recommendations for someone/somewhere that can do a top-notch job. Any recommendations?

I'm in the Springs. John Ramsey (Tejon Street Music) is the only luthier outside of the factory that will ever touch the frets on my guitars.

Given the multiple items, when not just send it to the Factory?

Oh, I've thought about that. I'm not super comfortable about shipping it, but that may be the best option? I dunno. Hell, I have no idea what PRS charges. Maybe I should look into that more.

Ah, it isn't broken - but a couple saddles are loose, one with a broken spring. The thing has 20 years of gunk in it, and the front-edge screws are uneven. It needs a pro setup in general. I do all the maintenance on the thing, but I'm not keen on pulling the bridge out to clean it up, tighten all the stuff and reinstall.

The biggest things are getting the nut properly reinstalled or replaced and crowning/leveling the frets.

After 20 years, I'd probably just opt for a refret. If its never had a level, they may have to take off a substantial amount of material and you'd lose the original feel. I've had deep levels done on guitars and they are just not the same after.
