Hi there My S2 has a small dent in finish which is luckily shallow but not able to polish out. Has anyone had luck in returning the PRS to pristine condition and removing of finish dents?

Sometimes you can wet a rag and place it over the dent, then place a iron on top of it. The steam will raise the dent back up. I've used this technique several times.

Just be careful and don't let the iron touch the guitar.

Hi and thanks for info. Will look into it though looks a bit "scary" lol
Cheers

I have questions.

Does the dent go into the wood, or is is just the finish?

What is the finish i.e. gloss or satin?

Hi its in the finish rather then through to the paint or undercoat (if any). Its a gloss finish.

Thanks for your reply

You could get a hammer and lower the rest of the finish...

That first ding in a cherished guitar can really get you. I have a Larrivee D-09 that I dinged up about 20 years ago. I don’t obsess over it, but I still notice it every time I pick it up.

So true, everytime I pick it up. Ah well will spin a story of how David Gilmore borrowed and dropped it. Still a bitter pill to swallow :(

There is a possibility of a repair with superglue.
