Deez Nutz! 11-48's on my PRS S2 McCarty Thinline

I like them thick so I put on 11-48's on my guitar and I'm happy with the results. I do notice a barely audible "ping" when I'm tuning up on the G string. I suspect I may have to file the nut but before I do that I'm wondering if anyone knows the dimension/file size of the nut slots from the factory. My S2 McCarty came with 10's. Anyone know if you can just throw on 11's without working on the nut?

Put some Big Bends Nut Sauce in all your nut slots first before you start filing.. you may not need to. That stuff is incredible. Found on Amazon…..

I would try taking a short length of an old wound G string from a light acoustic set, and use it like a file. Just be careful not to put too much downward pressure on the break point at the front of the nut. Ill bet half dozen or so swipes in the slot will open it up enough to stop the binding.
