Deep Thoughts

Well, as is my wont, last nite being Friday, I went down to the pub to check out some live music.
The band was excellent and as I was sitting there toward the end of the nite, enjoying the music and watching people dance and whoop it up, I got to thinking ...
In how many jobs do you get to drink the entire shift, smoke weed, bang chicks and then come out and brag about over the PA system .
... and, to top it off, you get to play guitar the whole time and then get invited back the next nite to do it all again .
That, my friends, is what makes playin' in a band so friggin' awesome :biggrin:.

It wasn't me bragging, I was just sitting in the audience observing and enjoying. I think they had had some fruits of the weed by then and several beer. It wasn't done in an arrogant, condescending manner, just good-natured and fun. Most people likely didn't even pick up on it ...it was all good.

If you're in a working band and you're drinking throughout the gig and getting stoned too, you're probably going to get fired pretty quickly--and I'll be right behind you to snag your gig!:biggrin:
