Deck the tremelo?

I am trying to figure out which model to get for my first PRS and am coming from a heavy strat background with 3 still in the main rotation. I need to get a little shorter scale and want to end up with a different pickup configuration so here I am :)

Can the tremolo on a PRS be decked like it can on a strat? I won't be using the arm and don't want to run into pitch issues while bending, etc... Ideally, I'd find a CE24 that had a fixed tailpiece, but I think that gets me into pretty expensive territory.

Thanks!

edit to add - I spelled tremolo wrong in the title :-(

It can, but I think more people block them with wood or get a tremel-no or tremsetter.

You could also look into an older used Custom 22 when they had fixed bridges.

Thanks. I haven’t played around with the tremel-no but I’ll look into it. I’ve blocked other guitars before but think it changes the tone a bit.

Thanks !

While I speak for everyone's experience, I can say that the PRS is incredibly stable. I don't do any massive bending or crazy string bending on a regular basis, but when I do, I have yet to have a tuning issues. I can bottom out the trem and tuning stays dead on when returning to zero. I can't say the same for any other trem equipped guitar that I have played.

Like you, I stayed away from trem equipped guitars for this very reason for a long time. The PRS trem combined with their locking tuners changed my mind, and approach.
