I have just released (Distrokid and Bandcamp) a new song called "Dealer Or Healer"! It takes aim at the influence that pharmaceutical companies have over our health care and doctors. Thanks to all for the kind words! Yes Tom, I think I need a bigger cup ;~)) Been mostly focusing on cover songs this month (except this "Dealer Or Healer" song which I was compelled to push out quickly). If you want to check any out there is my thread here on the forum and my website!! I think there is currently 48 cover songs on the site (most are dated and newer = better generally speaking)!!!

your song radiates a cool vibe and your lyrics have a message, thought I'm biased, because a very dear family member is employee of a big player pharmacy company.

Physicians should be bond tightest to the Oath of Hippocrates (Last year in October I spent a few days in Greece for a NATO conference and our hosts had organized sightseeing to the theatre of Epidauros, where they honored Hippocrates), but they are entrepreneurs, and they want to make their living.
Hospitals are companies, surgeries create revenues, patients which are in need of extensive care on hospital wards are cost intensive, therefore the managements' mission is to mitigate as best as possible the amount of such patients but increase the number of surgeries.

I studied on an University a subject named Political and Social Sciences, my scientific centre of gravity were Political Sciences. But a major field was economics. I attended to lectures on health economics - and the term is a joke in itself. The ratio between health and efficiency and effectiveness. And we discuss about civilian medical standards - in peacetime and generally in well delevoped countries with easy access to medical care.

Being a soldier with some mission experiences, I'm very aware of "triage" as one of the strictest decicive moments for physicians/first responders, deciding who will receive medical care to survive and who will receive just tranquilizers (morphines) to pass away as calm as possible.
And it's the same with incidents of mass casualities. You won't be capable to help all equally.
The morale is, without "pills" and pharmacy we wouldn't have the average life time experiences we are faced now.
We would die by diabetes or other diseases, we are able to mitigate life risks.
Other than that Darwin would be the ruler.
