My favorite PRS models are SC short scales. However, I’m a big fan of DC 245s as well.

Here are 3 I had made during a stretch a few years back:

1. The original honey gold. This color was conceived from a picture of a Hamer I owned and sent to the PS team. They did a great job of matching the color, and it became popular as a color choice.

2. The 2nd salmon. I was walking through the PS finishing room looking for a color. I noticed this cool Santana on a rack and asked “What’s that?” They took it off the shelf and told me it was Carlos’ new guitar and a brand new color, “salmon” created for him. Good enough for THE MAN; good enough for me! :p

3. The original Sandstorm. I’ve always loved natural finishes, so why not create a fade into natural? Crazy angry maple and quilted mahogany to boot.

Very nice!! I especially love the salmon!!

Meh...where’s the tone knob?

:D

Sorry, that’s part of the Phenny-mod.

You consistently snag some of the most incredible mahogany blanks on the planet. Those necks and backs don’t get enough credit. Utterly spectacular.
